Fed: IMF report shows Rudd govt is ruining economy: Hockey

Shadow Treasurer JOE HOCKEY says the federal government will post a budget deficit
of about 30 billion dollars.

It comes after the International Monetary Fund forecast Australian growth will contract
by 1.4 per cent in 2009.

Mr HOCKEY says he expects a 30 billion dollar budget deficit this year .. and up to
45 billion next year.
