Vic: Grocon workers to endorse new enterprise agreement

Grocon's 650 Victorian workers will down tools tomorrow to endorse a new enterpriseagreement, the result of a costly four-month industrial dispute.

The enterprise agreement between the building giant and the Construction, Forestry,Mining and Energy Union was finalised in the Australian Industrial Relations Commissionon Friday.

Union officials will report back to Grocon workers at stopwork meetings tomorrow atthe company's seven Melbourne construction sites.

The CFMEU has agreed to abandoned its plans to impose work bans and Grocon has agreedto cancel its lawsuits against the union and union officials.

Grocon was the only major building company to opt out of a statewide enterprise agreementnegotiated between the CFMEU and the Master Builders Association of Victoria.
